New Patient Visit

Your First Visit
We will reserve about an hour for your first appointment. Please bring your completed new patient forms to the appointment. A friendly member of our front-office team will greet you and make sure that you’re comfortable, then review your paperwork. You then meet with Dr. Beckett to discuss the reasons for your visit, as well as your immediate and long-term concerns.
Your Exam
Dr. Beckett will assess the integrity of your existing dental work, scan your teeth for decay with a DIAGNOdent laser, and examine your gums for signs of periodontal disease. She’ll also perform an oral cancer screening and evaluate your bite alignment and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) function.
We’ll take digital X-rays for a detailed view of your teeth and supporting structures. During your exam, Dr. Beckett or her assistant will use an intraoral camera to document the current condition of your smile. If you’d like, we can schedule your professional cleaning at this time as well.
Treatment Planning
We'll design a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs. Dr. Beckett will present your plan at your initial visit or at a subsequent appointment, depending on the complexity of treatment required. She may review your digital photos, X-rays, and our before and after smile gallery cases with you. Together, you and Dr. Becket will determine which procedures will meet your goals. If you would like, we can answer your questions about sedation and anesthesia, dental insurance, and patient financing. Your next dental appointment will can be scheduled before you leave the office.
